Vitamin D Deficiency

Atau dalam bahasa melayu nya -
Kekurangan Vitamin D.

Tu hari buat blood test untuk tahu tahap Vit D.
Selama ni tak ketahuan lah badan ni cukup ke tidak Vit D kan.
Sekali, resultnya adalah
"kekurangan vit D"

Oh. Hai. Menangis di bucu katil (T____T).
Duduk dalam negara yang mempunyai cahaya matahari mencukupi pun kurang vit D?

Kenapa boleh jadi kurang Vit D?
Antara sebabnya tu lah, kurang terdedah pada cahaya matahari.
Diet yang tak berapa seimbang. Kurang makanan berkalsium. Tak cukup minum susu, tak cukup makan sayur (sayur berlebihan sgt pun tak boleh kan). 
Banyak lagi lah. Google ja - VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY

Bila tgk, mmg aku ada tendency ja utk kurang Vit D nih.
Susu tak suka (tp boleh minum. Cuma kalau fresh milk pure tu mmg sukar sket lah), pastu sayur pun kurang (that's why kena buat juicing - buat jus sayur bagai - mmg membantu, pastu senang absorb dalam badan).
Dan... malas nak keluar umah. 
Tskkkk.

Lps ni kena makan ikan salmon lah. Pastu minum fresh milk (tu pun tak buleh beria sgt - bekas pesakit endo tak elok minum susu banyak sangat). Sayur, telur, cheese. Pastu berjemur kat tengah panas. Huhu.
Yang penting in moderate yerp.

Vitamin D sebenarnya penting untuk badan kita.
Dan juga penting utk TTC'ian (trying to conceive).
Somehow, sesetgh klinik atau hosp yang buat rawatan fertility jarang yang buat Vit D test ni.
Mujur utk rawatan kali ni, klinik tu mmg buat test Vit D.
Dalam blood test yang aku buat (3 blood test), test Vit D ni antara yang termahal. RM330 untuk satu test.
Kalau nak buat blood test utk Vit D ni, just cakap nak buat "25 hydroxyvitamin D blood test"
But, tak tahu la semua klinik ke ada test ni.
Kalau klinik pakar/hosp swasta ada la kot.
Plus, tak semua insurans yang cover kalau kita sesaja nak buat blood test kan.
Lepas dapat result, kita tahu la kita normal ka, deficiency ke apa ke.

A low vitamin D level can be diagnosed with a blood test called 25 hydroxyvitamin D or 25(OH)D (OH = hydroxy, D = vitamin D). Although there is no formal definition of vitamin D deficiency, some groups use the following values in adults:
A normal level of vitamin D is defined as a 25(OH)D concentration greater than 30 ng/mL (75 nmol/L).Vitamin D insufficiency is defined as a 25(OH)D concentration of 20 to 30 ng/mL (50 to 75 nmol/L).Vitamin D deficiency is defined as a 25(OH)D level less than 20 ng/mL (50 nmol/L).

POTENTIAL COMPLICATIONS OF VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY
The most serious complications of vitamin D deficiency are low blood calcium (hypocalcemia), low blood phosphate (hypophosphatemia), rickets (softening of the bones during childhood), and osteomalacia (softening of the bones in adults). However, these complications have become less common over time because many foods and drinks have added vitamin D.
"Subclinical" vitamin D deficiency or vitamin D insufficiency is common, and is defined as a lower than normal vitamin D level that has no visible signs or symptoms. However, vitamin D insufficiency is often associated with reduced bone density (osteopenia or osteoporosis), and in some cases a mild decrease of the blood calcium level, elevated parathyroid hormone (which accelerates bone resorption), an increased risk of falls, and possibly fractures, all of which can seriously affect a person's quality of life.
Thus, identifying and treating vitamin D insufficiency or deficiency is important to maintain bone strength. Treatment may even improve the health of other body systems, such as the immune, muscular, and cardiovascular systems, although more research is needed in these areas.

For now, doktor just bekalkan ubat calcium, and ubat drop utk tambah Vit D.
Moga2 bertambah lah Vit D dalam badan ini.

jadinya insurans kita cover dak nak buat blood test segala tu? haha

NADIAKEEZA :
Harus la tidak puan nadiakeeza.
Alangkan ubat krim gatal pun kena bayar,
ini kan pula blood test yang tidak melibatkan kesakitan hakiki.
Bayar lah sendiri.. takyah tunggu subsidi.. :P

hhuhu...sebab gaya hidup pon ya jugak kan... mcm kita org opis ni, pepagi dah pi opis, x dan nk amik mentari pagi yg berkhasiat...

hahahah comel jek kekda mcm budak2 x makan sayo
